A drawing competition for school children on water conservation was held on 15 November 2008 in the campus. The event was conducted to spread awareness among the children on the need to conserve the fast depleting water resource.
About 200 school children from IV to VIII standard drawn from 37 schools from the city took part in the event and enthusiastically displayed their concern for and commitment towards water conservation through their works. Children from various private and public schools took part in the competition. They were asked to design posters on the themes related to water conservation such as causes for water shortage, various ways and means of preserving water and reducing water pollution etc.
Mr. Utpal Sen Gupta, Chairman, CII AP, was the chief guest for the event and presented the awards to the winners.
